"I want a change, Mom, and we don't have to come to the store all the time and I know I'll brush my teeth better with a new color and pictures every other month."My five-year old convinced me that rather than buying her a new tooth brush bi-monthly, we would be better off buying a three-pack with better features. Well, as one of MCLI's attempts at cost containment without decreasing quality and support, we will now be publishing the Forum (formerly Faculty Notes) and the Labyrinth together twice each semester starting with this issue.
Since joining us, Maria and Cindy have improved and enhanced MCLI's commitment to information dissemination on innovations on teaching and learning through these two newsletters. Our readership has increased and we appreciate your favorable comments and kudos. Although the "squeeze" of budget cuts has hit hard, the MCLI wants to continue supporting and serving faculty and staff across the district through efficient and effective ways and means. Many of you responded to our request for subscriptions and we are pleased to be able to distribute this new format to everyone this Spring. However, from Fall 1993, the Forum- Labyrinth will be sent in print form to only those who send in requests for subscriptions. So, if you haven't sent in a request for a printed subscription, please do before the end of this school year. For those of you who are comfortable with computers or have access to a file server, the newsletter will also be available on the MCLI Public File Server in electronic form.
Again, "mahalo" for your continued support and interest in improving teaching and learning. I encourage to share with us your input and insights in making our services and support better.
